At Vieques Baila's 4th Valentine's Day Dance, 2010, Manuel Silva, local magician on steel drums, entertained the crowd who quickly filled the Coliseo, ate from a plentiful luscious buffet, scarfed down some mighty tasty home made desserts and guzzled a few hundred bottles of water and canned soda.

The gym, gaily decorated by Sandra Mudge, Hilda, Sally Harlos and Lisa Young was dazzling. The Vieques Baila teenagers, Jesus, Jonathon, Juan and Raffie, carried, lifted, nailed, taped, pushed and shoved. They turned the Coliseo into a gorgeous night club with banners, signs, hearts, flowers and crepe paper.

The guests wore hearts, flowers and flowing holiday colored material which went along with the love part of a lovely evening.

DJ Keith took over and flowed with the evening's many activities treating the dancers to a variety of music.

Cookie Romero, lovely, and bi-lingual, sang a folk ballad, alcapella, she then, as hostess, entertained the crowd with her wit and charm.

Victoria Allen Diaz, exacty one years old, was crowned Miss Vieques. The child made the whole room sigh.

Vieques Baila awarded Ephraim Cruz a $100. for being the Vieques and East P.R. Boxing Champion for this year. Ephraim will be boxing in the Coliseo this month. Watch for date and support this rising young athletic star.

Once again, as last year, Alcaldesa Evelyn Delerme Camacho began the evening's show with a rousing salsa.

Christina and Gaston danced to a Jibaro tune and made the Coliseum smile. They were lovely. Dynamic Explosion; Yedesha Hernandez & Naisha Escobar, hip-hopped to a jazzy tune. The Latin Angels; 4 young girls and 2 pre-teen boys are a breath of fresh air. They performed to two songs and delighted the crowd.

The yearly Swing Dance Demonstration with Sandy and Chuck Tepfer and the Swingers is always a crowd pleaser.

Some fat old man pushed his obese body around the dance floor in time to the music and was perfectly thrilled when the audience applauded and he didn't die of a heart attack. ha ha

Margo Merenque from Coco Loco Guest House in Esperanza, brought the house to their feet with a spectacular Merenque display.
