Vieques Primero is made possible by you! Your words, stories, news, announcements and events are the life of this "Newspaper without paper." Your voice and your thoughts can be shared with a wide readership, in Vieques and around the world. Preserve your culture for the future.

How to Contribute

Articles: Type and send an article, essay or letter for publication in Vieques Primero. Island Issues contains many topics for opinion pieces. News articles should remain neutral and factual, citing sources and following our writer's guidelines.

Special Columns: We include a selection of local writers as columnists for opinion pieces and special topics. Send your proposal for a special column.

Announcements: Send your event announcement to us from your neighborhood, school, office or business for publishing in our Community section. Your piece should answer what, when, where, why, and who and also follow our writer's guidelines.

Bulletin/Calendar: Upcoming dates and notable events are posted on our Community Calendar. Short notices, messages, and classifieds go on the Community Bulletin.

Discuss: Share your thoughts and ideas with others by joining the many discussion groups or writing a short piece for "In Your Words."
